Planning, Utilization, Maintenance, Accessibility
Bringing clean water to people looks different from country to country and even village to village. Water sources, terrain, and population all play a part in determining which technology is required to best serve the people, but there is always a solution.
As soon as a community gives us their consent to help find a clean and viable source of water, we get to work. The first step is to locate a water source near the village.
After hydrologists run various tests on the water, we are able to determine the best solution for that particular community.
Wells, rainwater catchment systems, biosand filters, and piped systems are among the most common of many sustainable, clean-water systems that can be implemented.
Once a solution is chosen, maintenance and sanitation education are provided so that these solutions can become permanent, providing water to the community forever.
